Аннотация. В статье рассмотрен вопрос о тургеневском влиянии в пьесе А.П. Чехова «Иванов». Заинтересованность Чехова произведениями предшественника общеизвестна и остается предметом исследовательского интереса по сей день. В данной работе на материале эссе «Гамлет и Дон Кихот» и драмы «Иванов» ставится проблема схожести взглядов писателей на человеческую природу в принципе. Привлечение не художественного, а философского текста Тургенева позволяет выявить общие черты в художественной антропологии писателей. Автор подчеркивает, что Гамлет в представлении Тургенева – не совсем полноценный тип, это лишь одна из его граней человеческой природы. Черты Гамлета присущи самым обычным людям. Иванов оказывается очень близок чертам Гамлета, описанным Тургеневым, с принципиальной для Чехова оговоркой – это человек, «ничем не замечательный». Иванов в полной мере обладает гамлетическими чертами – эгоизмом, рефлексией, неспособностью к любви. Но для Чехова оказывается не менее важной мысль о том, что Гамлет – эгоист страдающий, и страдания его подлинны. Именно эти черты характера и ведут героя к катастрофе. Важным оказывается и присутствие дон кихотского в Иванове, однако о присутствии этих черт лишь упоминается в связи с прошлым героя. И тем не менее для верного прочтения образа они оказываются необходимы. Автор приходит к выводу о чрезвычайной важности художественной антропологии Тургенева для понимания драмы «Иванов». TURGENEV’S CONTEXT OF A.P. CHEKVOV`S PLAY “IVANOV” T.G. Dubinina Moscow City University Abstract. The article deals with the question of Turgenev's influence in the play "Ivanov" by A. P. Chekhov. Chekhov's interest in the works of his predecessor is well-known and remains a subject of research interest to this day. In this work based on the material of the essay "Hamlet and Don Quixote" and the drama "Ivanov" the problem of the similarity of the writers' views on human nature in principle is raised. The involvement of Turgenev's philosophical text, rather than artistic, allows us to identify common features in the writers ' artistic anthropology. The author emphasizes that Hamlet in Turgenev's view is not quite a full-fledged type, it is only one of his facets of human nature. The features of Hamlet are inherent in the most ordinary people. Ivanov turns out to be very close to the features of Hamlet described by Turgenev, with a fundamental reservation for Chekhov – this is a person "not remarkable in anything". Ivanov fully possesses Hamlet traits – egoism, reflection, inability to love. But for Chekhov, the idea that Hamlet is a suffering egoist is no less important, and his suffering is genuine. It is these character traits that lead the hero to disaster. The presence of Don Quixote in Ivanov is also important, but the presence of these features is only mentioned in connection with the hero's past. And yet for the correct reading of the image, they are necessary. The author comes to the conclusion that Turgenev's artistic anthropology is extremely important for understanding the drama "Ivanov".
