Аннотация. Статья посвящена обобщающему анализу целого ряда литературоведческих эссе видного французского писателя Андре Жида, посвящённых творчеству Ф.М. Достоевского в контексте мировой и европейской культуры и написанных к столетию русского классика в 1921 году. Данная проблема, далеко выходящая за границы истории и теории литературы, изучается на литературоведческом и идеологическом фоне столетнего периода от первой четверти ХХ века до современности. Значительное внимание уделено разбору религиозных воззрений Ф.М. Достоевского и А.Жида и современной полемике вокруг этой темы, в частности отношению ещё одного выдающегося французского писателя, как и Жид бывшего лауреатом Нобелевской премии, Поля Клоделя. Особое внимание уделяется тому, что творчество одного писателя в данном случае изучает не критик, а другой, выдающийся и оригинальный писатель, что делает результаты этого анализа ещё интереснее. Основные проблемы статьи взаимосвязаны и вытекают одна из другой: рецепция творчества Достоевского на Западе и его важнейшие аспекты перевода его текстов, текст как сновидение, некоторые компаративистские аспекты творчества Достоевского (сопоставление русского классика с Бальзаком, Флобером, Рембрандтом, Диккенсом, Руссо, Ницше, органическое начало в поэтике Достоевского и критике Жида как источник динамизма их текстов.

ANDRE GIDE ABOUT F.M. DOSTOYEVSKY

Abstract. The article is devoted to a generalizing analysis of a number of literary essays by the prominent French writer Andre Gide devoted to the work of F.M.Dostoevsky in the context of world and European culture and written for the centenary of the Russian classic in 1921. This problem, which goes far beyond the boundaries of the history and theory of literature, is studied against the literary and ideological background of the centennial period from the first quarter of the twentieth century to the present. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of Dostoevsky's religious views. Dostoevsky and A. Gide and the modern controversy around this topic, in particular the attitude of another outstanding French writer, like the former Nobel Prize winner, Paul Claudel. Particular attention is paid to the fact that the work of one writer in this case is studied not by a critic, but by another, an outstanding and original writer, which makes the results of this analysis even more interesting. The main problems of the article are interrelated and follow one from another: the reception of Dostoevsky's work in the West and its most important aspects of the translation of his texts, the text as a dream, some comparative aspects of Dostoevsky's work (comparison of the Russian classic with Balzac, Flaubert, Rembrandt, Dickens, Rousseau, Nietzsche, the organic principle in Dostoevsky's poetics and criticism of Gide as a source of their texts’ dynamism.
