Аннотация. В статье рассматривается художественная специфика повести Э.Н. Успенского «Вниз по волшебной реке». Актуальность статьи обусловлена повышенным интересом к творчеству писателя как в России, так и во всём мире. Тем не менее в настоящее время литературное наследие этого автора фактически не изучено. В этой статье впервые идейно-художественные особенности повести «Вниз по волшебной реке» рассматриваются системно, с учётом специфики авторского стиля и культурного контекста времени создания произведения. Происходит отказ от рассмотрения произведения как абсолютно новаторского, несущего черты полного творческого произвола автора-постмодерниста. С этой целью описывается культурное своеобразие 60‒80-х годов XX века, связанное с популяризацией и актуализацией литературного наследия прошлого. Обосновывается, что концепты семьи и дружбы, традиционные для детской литературы этого периода, становятся ключевыми и в данном произведении, существенно влияя и на сюжетные элементы, связанные с темой взаимоотношения власти и народа. Анализируется как специфика трактовки традиционных сказочных персонажей (Баба Яга, Кощей), так и способы введения в текст образов Баюна и Лиха Одноглазого, слабо представленных в народном творчестве и во многом создаваемых авторской фантазией Э. Успенского.

IDEAL AND ARTISTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STORY BY E.N. USPENSKY "DOWN THE MAGIC RIVER"

Abstract. The article deals with the artistic specificity of the story by E.N. Uspensky "Down the Magic River". The relevance of the article is due to the increased interest in the writer's work both in Russia and around the world. Nevertheless, at present, the literary heritage of this author has not actually been studied. In this article, for the first time, the ideological and artistic features of the story "Down the Magic River" are considered systematically, taking into account the specifics of the author's style and the historical and cultural context of the time the work was created. There is a refusal to consider the work as absolutely innovative, bearing the features of the complete creative arbitrariness of the postmodernist author. For this purpose, the cultural originality of the 60-80s of the XX century, associated with the popularization and actualization of the literary heritage of the past, is described. It is substantiated that the concept of family and friendship, traditional for children's literature of this period, becomes the key one in this work, significantly influencing the plot elements related to the theme of the relationship between power and people. It analyzes both the specifics of the interpretation of traditional fairy-tale characters (Baba Yaga, Koschey), and the ways of introducing into the text the images of Bayun and Likh One-eyed, poorly represented in folk art and largely created by the author's fantasy of E. Uspensky.
